Desire!!!!!!!!!

East One got of to a bad start by conceding an early goal and having a player sent off within the first 10 minutes. The opposition also had a player sent of which evened out the teams. The referee sent off both players due to violent conduct, although it was the opposition player who took a swing at our player. East One reshuffled the team around by moving Mahbub to the left wing.

The opposition ran riot in the first half as they played with belief and determination. East One could not get to grips with the pace of the game and struggled to make any impact. The opposition held possession well and attacked frequently as East One looked disoriented and demoralised. The half time whistle could not come soon enough for East One.

The second half started with East One a goal down. During half time East One made more changes. Mohammed was sacrificed at right back to make it a three man defence; Lokus came on to the left wing and Mahbub moved back to striking.

The team looked and played like a totally different team in the second half. East One started to show their muscle and resolve by totally out classing their opponents. It was not long before East One equalized after some great build up play allowing Mahbub to control and volley home a superb goal.

The team had definitely upped their game as they continuously attacked and dominated the second half. Unfortunately with every attack their came a woe full miss in front of goal. East One squandered chance after chance as they could not get that second goal. As the match progressed into the dying minutes East One were nearly punished as the opposition caught them on the counter with their first attack of the second half. As the opposition striker was fed the ball down the left he shot across the goal, only to be denied by an excellent save by Helio. Helio showed great agility as he dived to his left and palmed the ball away. The match ended a disappointing draw.

East One had lost the initiative in the first half but dominated the second half. Domination counts for nothing if you cannot put away your chances and get the result you require. Let’s hope the team does not live to regret this result

Shameful!!!!!!!!!

East One got of to their worst start in the league by conceding a goal within the first minute. The B team strung a few passes together and went passed dazed and out of position players to allow Kalam to score a fantastic goal from the right. East One A could not even keep their shape within the first minute.

Within five minutes team A equalized from a corner. As the corner was swung in, team B’s defence headed it out only as far as Kashem who smashed home a first time volley. Team A could not get to grips with game as they looked as if they had never played football before.

Team A could not hold on to the ball or even string two passes together as Team B ran riot. Team B Attacked and defended as one team one unit. Team A struggled to even get the ball as Team B chose to give Team A, a footballing lesson. The first half ended with both teams being level on goals but not in class or character as the B team was way ahead on that front.

As the second half got under way team A made two changes. Shahjahan and Mahbub were replaced up front by Lokus and Hammed. Team A continued to play as if they had not turned up while Team B continued to battle hard.

Team A managed to score four more goals in the second half, not by playing good football, but due to brute force and goalkeeping and defensive errors made by Team B. Lokus managed score another hatrick and Hammed also scored a goal. Team B also had a few chances in the second half only to be denied by Helio and Afsar who made a goal line clearance.

Team A won but played with no heart, character or enthusiasm. This was their worst display in a match as they were very complacent on the field. A stronger team would have slaughtered them.

A step backwards!!

East One got of to a lazy start as they looked slow and played with no enthusiasm. The team played poor collectively as they chased the ball. The team could not string three passes together without relinquishing possession.

The team soon won a corner in the first ten minutes which proved to be costly, as Mohinur went into the opposition’s eighteen yard box and injured himself. Mohinur went to attack the ball from the subsequent corner and landed awkwardly hurting his knee. It was clear he could no longer continue in the game.

Mohinur was replaced by Kashem and the team positions had to be reshuffled. Shaifur was moved into central defence from left back, Koyar was moved from central midfield to left back and Kashem slotted into central midfield.

As play resumed the team still performed badly showing now hunger or passion which was clearly evident on the pitch. As the game stagnated with bad passes, interceptions and more bad passes, Lokus managed to put the ball in the back off the net, ending the half a goal in front.

The secound half started off the same as the first with the team looking out of sorts. The opposition tried to take the initiative by pushing foward and nearly capitalised, but not for Koyar who cleared acrobatically off the line. the defence upped their game after this but their positional play was still poor.

The sight of nearly conceding woke a few of the players up, but the team still did not play well and could not string more then two passes together, Although the teams distribution was poor they did not allow the opposition any more opportunities on their goal. East One played scrappy football and advanced forward due to their overwhelming strength and the opposition’s lack of quality.

East One managed to get two more scrappy goals insuring a win and providing Lokus with his first hatrcik this season. Lokus seemed to be at the right place at the right times to get his goals displaying good goal scoring instincts. The match ended with a three nil win to East One.

East One won the match with a flattering score line which hides the fact that they played very poor. Against stronger opposition they would have been punished

Working for each other!!

East One got of to a good start as they looked fired up and played with a lot of energy. The team played well collectively as they battled away. The team had to do a lot of defending in the first half as the opposition threw everything they had at the team.

East One showed great resilience and character as they played and fought for each other. The team chased down every ball and gave the opposition no time to settle on the ball. As the opposition continuously attacked, the midfield and defense coped comfortably as they cleared and distributed the ball well.

The team lacked any attacking adventure in the first half as they concentrated on defending as a unit and therefore lacked support up front. The team was playing too deep and the strikers found it hard to make an impact on the match due to the lack of supply.

As the second half started the team started to attack a little bit more but suffered an early set back. The opposition had won a throw in East One’s half in line with the eighteen yard box. They punished the team due to a moment’s lapse in concentration. As their midfielder run into the box unmarked and unchallenged he had a free header which was on target. East One conceded a soft goal.

After the goal East One made two changes. Hammed was taken off and Kamran came on to the right wing pushing Lokus up to striking. Also Paul was taken off and Afsar came on to the left wing. As play resumed the team pushed forward with attack after attack but they could not get the goal.

Another change was made and Mohshin came off and Nazmul went into midfield. This bolstered our attack even further as the team pushed forward. Soon the team got the breakthrough they deserved as Nazmul put Mahbub through with a sublime pass for Mahbub to slot home.

The team seemed to be camped in the oppositions half as they wasted chance after chance as they could not get that second goal. The opposition had all but disintegrated as they could not cope with the team’s superior attack. The match ended as a draw.

East One deserved to win as they were by far the better team on the day. The team got their act together too late and squandered too many chances. To progress in the league East One needs to concentrate at all times and kill of the opposition. The team needs to take their chances in front of goal.

Playing as a team!!

East One (A) got off to a decent start as they seemed more composed and calm on the ball. The team passed the ball around well but could not use this to their advantage as they lacked the cutting edge in the final third.

The defence was not playing with their normal confidence which was clearly noticeable as they started to make errors dealing with simple balls. As the team continued to play and retain possession they could not break through the oppositions defence. This was not due to the opposition having a strong defence but due to the team not showing any attacking imagination. It did not look like any team was going to break the deadlock at this rate.

The second half was a different story as the team flew off the blocks at the whistle. Lokus and Kamran had changed wings which had an impact straight away. The team pressured the opposition well and passed and moved better to create several chances only for our strikers to miss. The defence had improved their game from the first half but still was not performing to their best.

As the team pressed the opposition more and more we were awarded a free kick as Kamran was brought down on the edge of the box. Mohshin stepped up to take the free kick and showed great character and confidence on his debut, as he curled the ball superbly into the top left hand corner of the goal. This sparked the fire within the team who created many opportunities only for our strikers to display some poor finishing. Our usually clinical strikers were having an off day.

Mohshin was replaced by Koyar, who was to sit in midfield to protect our slender lead. Once the change was made our next attack down the right wing saw Lokus put in a low cross across the face of the goal for Kamran to fire first time past the keeper. Kamran hit the shot with so much venom that the keeper had no chance. The match ended with an East One win.

The team played a lot better in the second half and showed a lot more ambition. The team is definitely improving and should have had at least half a dozen goals in this match. The team needs to finish their chances or may pay the price.

A win at last!!

East One FC (A) got off to a slow start as they allowed the opposition time and space on the ball. The ettle and seemed very sluggish. The normally solid defence seemed shaky and vulnerable. The opposition took full advantage of this as they passed the ball around and held on to possession by using their strength and experience.

As the opposition grew in confidence they spotted Ali our Goal Keeper off his line and their right winger released a low drive towards the bottom left hand corner. Ali managed to back pedal just in time to pull off a superb save. The team could not get to grips with the game as they were being out muscled and out played on the field.

Finally the team managed to string a few passes together and advanced down the left for Mosthak to cut the ball back to Mahbub who fired a first time shot. Mahbub placed the shot by curling it into the bottom left hand corner. The team ended the first half a goal in front against the run of play.

The second half started off a lot better as the team played with a lot more energy and enthusiasm. They passed and moved a lot better and started to create chances. The team were still being muscled out at times but coped with the situation a lot better.

As the team pressed the opposition more frequently they started to keep them firmly imbedded in their half. Paul was released down the right wing and he delivered a low cross which Mahbub pounced on and fired passed the keeper. The team continued to pile on the pressure and after some good passing between Lokus and Nazmul and great footwork from Nazmul in particular, the ball was propelled forward to Mahbub who was taking no prisoners as he was looking for his hatrick. Mahbub dribbled past several players to unleash an unstoppable thunderbolt. The keeper had no chance.

Mahbub was then replaced by Hammed as he had done his job for the day. As the team continued to play good football Kashem was replaced by Koyar and Mosthak was replaced by Shahjahan. Lokus had a glorious opportunity to increase the team’s goal tally as he was put through with only the keeper to beat, but due to the lack of composure on his part he allowed the keeper to close him down and make a save. We had several more chances after this which fell to Hammed and Shahjahan who also could not convert, so the game ended with East One winning 3:0.

The team played a lot better in the second half but needs to play much better from the beginning. It might have been a different story if they played against one of the stronger teams in the league.

Flying start ends in disappointment!!

East One FC (A) got off to a great start as they scored within the first few minutes. The team started out brimming with confidence and passed and moved the ball superbly. The team linked up well and Mosthak provided Mahbub with an excellent through ball down the right which he converted. Mahbub fired the ball with such power and accuracy it gave the keeper no chance.

From this moment on the team seemed very comfortable on the ball displaying fluid passing and retaining possession. The team pressured every ball giving the opposition no time to settle. As the game continued the opposition managed to equalise due to a mistake by the defence. A lack of communication led to a sloppy pass which was intercepted by the opposition who then punished the team by pushing forward and scoring.

This gave the opposition a boost in confidence after their initial shell shock and allowed them to slowly get a foot hold in the match. East One continued to battle and play their football only to be punished again, as the opposition advanced down the right, they were not closed down by the midfield or the defence. The opposition player managed to swing in a dangerous ball which should have been dealt with by the right back but was not, so the attacking player fired a first time shot passed our keeper to end the half 2:1 down.

The second half started with East One having to make a forced change in midfield, as Kashem was injured and was replaced by Shahjahan. An out of position Shahjahan could not make an impact, as his teammates could not provide him with the necessary support on the field. As the team started to loose the battle in midfield the opposition started attacking more frequently driving the team back into their own half.

Mosthak had to come off due to fatigue so Lokus was pushed up to striker and Nazrul came on to the left wing. The fresh players added some much needed energy into the team but the team had an uphill battle as they could not retain possession in midfield. The opposition pumped the ball forward and as the defence made a challenge, the Referee deemed it to be a foul. The free kick was one yard from the eighteen yard box and fairly central. The opposition player curled the ball round the wall and into the top right hand corner of the goal. The keeper didn’t stand a chance of saving it.

Nazmul was taken off from midfield and Nur was pushed into midfield from defence whilst Razzique slotted in at right back. The team gained a lot more control in midfield and battled on to try and claw back the deficit. This determination paid off as we won a corner kick. The following corner was swung in and Mohinur headed the ball towards the goal for Paul to flick passed the keeper.

As the team pushed on to try and get another goal they suffered a big blow when Razzique was injured challenging for a high ball. As both of the players heads clashed and both lay on the ground, it was evident straight away that Razzique needed to go to A&E for treatment of a broken nose. Razzique was helped off the pitch and Shaifur came on as his replacement.

No injury time was played by the match officials although it was very clear that they should have! The match was ended soon after the restart. The team played a lot better and need to build on this performance and eradicate silly mistakes. The team is heading in the right direction and will only get better.

The beginning!!

East One FC (A) got off to a bad start as they began their campaign with a loss. The team has not managed to jell and it showed at the match. They failed to keep possession; their passing was poor and sporadic at best.

East One (A) managed to keep a clean sheet in the first half but could not find their rhythm of free flowing football. Despite this the team should have been a goal in front as Anas missed a glorious chance, one on one with the keeper. All he had to do was hit the ball either side of the keeper and it would have been a goal. Unfortunately the shot was too high and too central allowing the keeper to make an easy save. Many players seemed like mere spectators on the pith as they where unable to make any impact on the field.

The second half display was very poor as the whole team looked tired and lethargic. The first goal was conceded due to a lack of concentration at the back allowing the opposition player to shoot. Although Ezazul made a good effort to dive to his left he was unable to make the save.

This would have normally got the team fired up for the challenge but this was not the case on this occasion. The team displayed hardly any attacking prowess and their passing and team moral sank to an all time low. Only the two-second half subs, Mahbub and Shahjahan showed true determination and guts by playing relentlessly to the very end.

Mahbub hounded the opposition defence tirelessly through out the half, when finally he got a break and managed to head a long pass over the keeper for Shahjahan to slot in from close range. This goal sparked a mini revival and the team seemed to start to believe in their ability once more, only to be brought back down by some terrible decisions from the match officials.

The team slowly started going back into their shell, inviting the opposition to gain control and dominate the game. The opposition started constantly bombarding us with attack after attack. Our ability to pass and move or even pass in general had all but disappeared.

Finally we started to allow the opposition to run at us unchallenged, as we continued to back off. East One (A) did not take the initiative to try and close down the progress of the advancing opposition player’s and intern conceded a silly foul, in a dangerous position with thirty seconds to go.

The subsequent free kick was taken soon after and they scored, determining the final outcome of the match. East One (A) as a whole can play much better football but have let themselves down on the day. Overall I believe we deserved a draw, but this is the kind of result the team should expect if they do not perform.

With more time and with the new players gaining more experience and confidence, East One (A) will improve as a team, as the quality needed already exists within the squad.
